CRT Projectors
Used CRT Projector
Some information to consider before buying that used CRT projector online. What are CRT projectors? Most of the older video projectors was based on the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT). Three small CRTs together with a light magnifying lens projects a color image onto a large screen in a darkened room.
One of the benefits of using a used CRT projector or new, is that the image in a CRT projector is scanned with an electron beam and is not limited to a fixed pixel field. This gives the user the flexibility of displaying variable resolutions. In addition, CRT projector has a long projection life compared to other types. With LCD and DLP video projectors, the light source must be replaced every 1,000 to 2,000 hours to maintain optimum brightness and contrast. This can be costly to maintain.
One disadvantage of using CRT projectors is that the tubes need to be aligned for the projected image to be sharp and the colors to be mixed correctly. Also, if you are using a used CRT projector and one projection tube fails, all three have to be replaced in order to provide the most accurate color and brightness balance.
